This guide will walk you through using Rally to run effective sprint planning sessions that keep your team aligned while maintaining all context right where you work.

Setting Up Your Sprint Planning Session

Agenda Management

Start your session by reviewing the backlog items you've added with your team.

Rally helps you maintain focus by showing , with a built-in to help manage discussion time.

Your team can collaborate on each item through the while keeping all context organized.

Story Point Estimation

Once you're discussing an item, use Rally's features to determine its complexity.

Rally AI will provide suggestions based on different experience levels, helping guide your team's discussion.

Team members can input their estimates using the Fibonacci sequence, and you can use the timer to keep the estimation process on track.

Task Distribution

After items are estimated, switch to Rally's .

Here your team members will first set their availability for the sprint.

You can then begin assigning work while monitoring the Assignment Health dashboard to ensure balanced workload distribution across your team.

Post- Sprint Planning

Every decision and update made during your planning session .

You'll have a clear record of story point estimates, assignments, and highlights right in your Jira tickets.

The session will remain accessible through Jira, maintaining complete context for future reference.

Remember to use Rally's to keep your planning session on track and leverage the AI estimation suggestions while trusting your team's expertise.
